If I am you and you are me
Our arms are entwined
For all eternity
So I weep for the rage of racial injustice powerful enough to burn cities to the ground.
So I weep for the fear of the mother who cannot feed her babies and shelter them from the storms.
So I weep for the sadness of those who experience loss ~ their business, their home, their loved one.
If I am you and you are me
Our arms are entwined
For all eternity
So I’ll show up to vote for those who carry the vision of reparation and equality.
So I’ll take a stand to ensure our healthcare and education systems are in place for everyone.
So I’ll listen to the voice in my heart and send love to every person in need of deep care.
If I am you and you are me
Our arms are entwined
For all eternity
For the golden rule
Is still in play
Humanity’s path to awaken
Pray we live this way
For I am you and you are me
Our arms are entwined
For all eternity
