I’m so excited and grateful that Arbiter News featured my book!
I hope you enjoy it!!!

Arbiter News Interview:

  1. Tell us about yourself:

I love the creative process of writing. To me it feels like connecting with an inner spirit that loves to tell stories, and I have many that I want to share. I’ve been in the healing arts field for over three decades and have built up quite a bit of information to divulge as a nurse, counselor, hypnotherapist, and energy healer practitioner of many modalities. To me the best methods to heal are the most natural, and connecting with nature revitalizes body, mind and soul.

I named my healing practice Lady of the Lake Holistic Health because the title Lady of the Lake was given to many practitioners who used the wisdom of nature to balance their lives and help others to heal. Spending a lot of time near my beloved Lake Michigan, I began to pick-up intuitive messages from her and other forms of nature concerning the environmental health of our planet and all who live here. I joyfully share my experiences and the information given to me.

  1. Tell us about your new book:

Waves of Light takes readers on a journey of environmental awareness throughout the 2014 year displaying the four seasons near Lake Michigan. As I walk along the wooded path near my home I connect with the nature companions who live there. Lake; moon, deer, birch tree, rabbit, and many others have important messages to give us about what they are experiencing, and they have wisdom to share with us. Animals and other life forms are naturally in a state of peace (unless interfered with) and they can help us understand how to reach a state of balance here.

My own stories about healing practices blended in nicely with the information given. So I include information about mind/body/spirit health to help others understand alternative medicine and what it has to offer towards good health and spiritual awareness.

  1. What inspired you to write? Tell us about your creative process:

I wrote this book because I care deeply about the health of our planet and all who live here. When the polar vortex hit my hometown last winter I found myself driving up to the beautiful bluff area that overlooks Lake Michigan. I’ve always had a deep connection with the lake and wondered what it was like for her to be undergoing environmental challenges. So I asked her.

There is a way to access the soul records (Akashic Records) of all forms of life to gain information about what they are experiencing and what wisdom they have to share with us. The first message that came through from Lake Michigan seemed like a poem to me and also felt like a request to do more ~ to help give messages about healing ~ for ourselves and for the planet. So I let myself be open to connecting with different parts of nature throughout the year to see what they had to offer us. The messages seemed to be pointed toward helping us humans heal our minds and hearts so that we become better caretakers of the planet. We all have a part to play in creating heaven on Earth! My hope is that this book informs, entertains, and inspires you to participate in the joyful service most suited to your own gifts and life situation.

  1. If you could have dinner with 5 people, living or dead, real or fictional, who would they be and why?

My first choice for a dinner companion would be President Obama. I flat out admire the man. He inherited a boatload of problems and showed grace under fire. I would love to be in his wise and compassionate presence!

Bell from Beauty and the Beast might share her secrets for seeing past the monster in us to the truth of inner beauty. She loves books so I’m sure we’d have great conversations.

It’s my understanding that Jesus loves good wine. Maybe we could sip on some while he gives me a pep talk on forgiveness for all the mistakes we seem to keep making here. A miracle or two would be nice, especially if the food we’re eating could keep multiplying to feed anyone in need.

Helen Schucman was a psychologist and the scribe for A Course in Miracles. I would love to hear about the personal process she undertook to write the most profound and inspirational book I’ve ever read.

Okay, so Oprah is known for promoting books, and who wouldn’t love that. But, I’ve admired her long before I wrote anything. The way she shines light on important subjects and brings dignity to those less fortunate has inspired me for decades. Even a quick cup of coffee with her would be a blessing!
